Take off internationally as an illustrator
The US, UK and Germany are the most important markets for illustrators and yet many German creatives tend to work nationally. This workshop provides an insight and comparison: How do you acquire customers outside the EU? How difficult is the language barrier? How important is an agent? What do you need to consider in terms of tax? Where are the cultural differences? What are the usual budgets for advertising, editorial and branding? What are the advantages of the USA vs. Germany?
Structure of the workshop
The workshop is divided into two parts.
- Lecture: Insights and first steps into the international industry as well as a live demonstration of the acquisition process (optional to participate)
- Portfolio Review: On a voluntary basis, your portfolio and online presence will be discussed and optimised within the group
