The Design Visits visit places in Hamburg that are exciting for designers. This time, we are going to stilwerk Hamburg for a special pop-up exhibition: ten interior design manufacturers are presenting high-quality, innovative furniture, lighting, porcelain and interior objects outside the mainstream.
The products come from the "Produzierende Designer*innen", an association of interior designers who want to emphasise the value of durable and timeless design. By pooling resources under the umbrella of the association, an alternative to the monoculture of the mass market is created. Members also benefit from mutual exchange and knowledge transfer.
Together, we will celebrate the pop-up exhibition and gain exciting insights into the goals and working methods of the initiative from members of the "Produzierende Designer*innen".
Please note: During the exhibition period from 1 April to 2 May, accompanying events will take place at stilwerk Hamburg. Following the Design Visit on 14 March, a talk with star architect Hadi Teherani is planned. You are cordially invited to stay for the talk!

You can reach stilwerk by taking the S1/S3 to Königstraße or Reeperbahn, by taking ferry 62 from Landungsbrücken to Fischmarkt Altona, or by taking bus lines 111/112 from St. Pauli, Reeperbahn, Altona, or Landungsbrücken to Fischmarkt Altona.
For our Design Visits, we visit exciting places, exhibitions, production facilities and craft businesses for designers in Hamburg, such as print shops, textile and fashion productions, joineries, metalworking and recycling companies as well as trade fairs and museums.
The excursions give you exciting insights into the institutions, workshops, manufacturing techniques and production processes and can inspire you to realise future projects and make new contacts.
Previous excursions have included the textile production Made auf Veddel and the Museum für Kunst & Gewerbe (MK&G).

Come sell or stroll! At the FABRIC Flea Market, the Future Fashion Lab is transformed into a night flea market. You can expect a large selection of second-hand treasures, a clothes swap bar plus music and drinks in the glass workshop.
