Hands-on craftsmanship and inspiration
The Design Visits visit places in Hamburg that are exciting for designers, this time to the Montblanc Haus - a place where design, craftsmanship and storytelling come together in an immersive way.
Hamburg is not only home to the company's headquarters, but also the world's only manufactory where Montblanc writing instruments are made. In the immediate neighbourhood, the Montblanc Haus, which is open to the public, invites you to rediscover writing.
During the tour, you will immerse yourself in the history of the former start-up that became Montblanc and get a glimpse behind the scenes. Together, we will visit the "Inspire Writing" exhibition, where you will find original manuscripts by icons such as Ernest Hemingway, Frida Kahlo and Oscar Wilde. More than 400 Montblanc writing instruments are on display here - from historical fountain pens to current models. There are also various stations to discover in the building where you can write, design and try things out for yourself.
