Thirsty?
You're not alone. We quench our thirst for good design and valuable contacts at Design Thirstday, the relaxed event for designers at the Design Zentrum Hamburg. Our recipe: a fresh mix of short impulses, special guests from the industry and time for stimulating conversations. Gladly with a drink in hand.
It wasn't just the social dry spells during the pandemic that showed how important personal dialogue and a good network are. The Design Zentrum has been a meeting place and platform for the Hamburg design scene - and beyond - from the very beginning. The Design Thirstday continues this idea.
What you can expect
At the beginning of the event, three exciting players from the scene will briefly introduce themselves and their projects - followed by a relaxed dialogue. These special guests will be there this time:
Lea Haats is a designer specialising in interior design and scenography. She combines her design expertise with practical experience in event and festival production. She has been in charge of creative production at Kopf & Steine since 2022 and has played a key role in designing the Habitat, Kunst Gucken and MS Dockville Festival, among others.
Lilli Scheuerlein is a designer at JUNO Hamburg. In her agency life and as a freelancer, she looks after clients from the interior, hospitality, culture and lifestyle sectors. After her studies (MFA Communication Design) and several awards, she gained international work experience in Paris and New York.
Mattis Dallmann is a fashion designer and founder of FREIKOERPER, a design studio for clothing, handmade objects and interiors. His work has been featured in magazines such as GQ, AD and NÚMERO BERLIN. Mattis is also a member of FABRIC - Future Fashion Lab. At Thirstday he will talk about the Swedish School (of Design Thinking) and critical design approaches in fashion.
