What happens in textile design influences not only the fashion world, but all sectors of industry. Every two years, we present the latest innovations from this important discipline.

Textile design is a forward-looking design discipline, and not just for the fashion industry. Every two years, we dedicate ourselves to the special relevance of textile design under the motto "Future Materials" - with an exhibition, lectures, workshops and international impulses from selected guest countries.
The centrepiece of the week is the exhibition at the Design Zentrum Hamburg. In addition to different types of textiles and production techniques, new and bio-based materials and innovative recycling processes are also presented here. In lectures and workshops, designers offer insights into their work processes and techniques, which can also open up new perspectives for other areas of design.
For the second time, Textile Week 2024 brought us up close and personal with the future, with new materials, innovative production processes and smart technologies on show at the Design Zentrum Hamburg and the FABRIC - Future Fashion Lab in the city centre from 13 to 23 June. Guest country Sweden also showed how forward-looking textile design works - in exhibits and presentations.
